Gabrielle Gaede grew up in Ontario, Canada with the beautiful lakes of Muskoka, and Georgian Bay present throughout her childhood. She started painting in watercolors at 17, sketching on trips to remember the sights. She continues to do this today and often her sketches will develop into large acrylic paintings.

The desire to capture an atmosphere or share an experience is central to Gabrielle Gaede's work: the beauty of a landscape or the joy a familiar place gives will inspire a painting. Sharing her paintings with her viewers allows them to be immersed in the beauty, serenity, and awe that inspired her.
